And they had forgotten to takebread, and did not havemorethanoneloaf in the boat with them.

And He was givingorders to them, saying, "1Watch out! Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of 2Herod."

They began to discuss with oneanother the fact that they hadnobread.

And Jesus, aware of this, said to them, "Why do you discuss the fact that you havenobread? 3Do you not yetseeorunderstand? Do you have a hardenedheart?

"4HAVINGEYES, DO YOU NOT SEE? AND HAVINGEARS, DO YOU NOT HEAR? And do you not remember,

when I broke5the fiveloaves for the fivethousand, howmany6basketsfull of brokenpieces you picked up?" They said to Him, "Twelve."
20
"When I broke 7the seven for the fourthousand, howmanylarge8basketsfull of brokenpieces did you pick up?" And they said to Him, "Seven."
21
And He was saying to them, "9Do you not yetunderstand?"
